OK, peeps! If there is ONE band out there that has had the most influence on me in terms of shaping my overall character, lifestyle & persona not just in terms of being a musician (be it as a vocalist, playing an instrument or a composer/lyricist) it would NOT be Queensryche, Tierra Santa or any of the Christian bands out there (Stryper, BloodGood, Sacred Warrior). It is instead the Kings Of Metal themselves ... ManOwaR! I remember getting "Fighting The World" and thinking "Yeah, this is like Twisted Sister's "Stay Hungry" and Raven's "Stay Hard" only cranked up." Then I got "Kings Of Metal" and was completely blown away! I can't tell you how many times "Hail & Kill" got me thru a killer set of squats or dead lifts. When I was in a bodybuilding contest I used "Fighting The World" as my posing music - cuz that's kinda how my life's been. So when I finally got the chance to see these guys play it was truly a Revelation. So here I am by the tour bus with singer Eric Adams and bassist Joey DeMaio. In the second pic is me and Joey with the wife of a concert goin' buddy in Detroit. When I met them, they were all like "I saw you out there singing along ... You knew all the words!"
